In Westkapelle I drive through the old center to the big sea dike.
I park the bike at the base of the dike and climb to the top to look at the North Sea. I love to watch the sea and to walk on the dike in the wind.
I have a nice view on the little village and on the other side of the dike, I can see some ships that are coming to the harbour of Vlissingen.

The North Sea, seen from the dike at Westkapelle.

Westkapelle, seen from the dike.

After climbing on the dike in Westkapelle I get on the little Honda again and after a short ride, I see a lighthouse.
It is a nice background for a picture of the little Honda :-)

The lighthouse on the NorthSea coast in Westkapelle.

It is time to get back (I can not go much further without swimming) so I'm heading North now and through Domburg I drive to Oostkapelle.
Just when I leave Domburg I see a nice castle in the distance so I turn around to have a better look.

Castle Westhove in Domburg.

They say Castle Westhove was built in the beginning of the 13th century. Around 1560 the castle's was extended and in 1572 the castle was stormed by the "Watergeuzen" to throw out the Spanish occupation.
Caste Westhove is a Youth Hostel now. It is popular because it is only minutes away from the beach and lies in a beautiful nature reserve.

Through Oostkapelle, I drove to Serooskerke and from Serooskerke I drove around Middelburg to get on the highway home.
One of my children is having a birthdayparty so we need to do some preparations and this afternoon my living room will be filled with a dozen screaming and shouting 9 and 10 year old kids.........
