From Friday, May 25 to and including Monday, May 28, we were in Biddinghuizen. My son Sjoerd who is the drummer
in the band InSalvation had to do a few
performances at a big annual Pentecost Conference and we wanted to see him play.
My wife and children and a few friends went there by car but I had to work on Friday so I drove my BMW to work
so I could come right after work (but I'm not complaining). I left home early and drove on the freeway until
I crossed the river Lek. Then I took the Nieuwegein exit and drove on the dike along the river.

I drove on the dike until I turned right in Jaarsveld, a small and "romantic" village right behind the dike.
From Jaarsveld, a small single lane roads goes to the N210, the road to Woerden, where I work.

After about an hour and a half driving, I arrived at work and parked my bike in the shed on the parkinglot,
next to the bikes of my collegues.

When I left work, the weather was good but there were a lot of traffic jams because of the Pentecost weekend
so I did not take the freeway to Biddinghuizen but used minor roads for the trip around Utrecht.
From Woerden I drove past Montfort and just before the dike of the Lek, I turned left and drove to
Nieuwegein. From Nieuwegein I drove past Houten to odijk.
In Odijk I parked the bike on the sidewalk, next to a nice white church and had a soda and something to eat.

From Odijk I drove in the direction of Zeist and turned on the N224 to Woudenberg. This is a nice road through
the forrest and I enjoyed riding there. On my way there I saw an nice castle like building. I don't know what is
was, perhaps a monastery or a church......
